Excellent martial arts school. Nico is a great instructor and kids learn a lot from him and from the other instructors as well. They are all really good at what they do and amazing with kids! I love this place because it is truly a Family Martial Arts school. I am a student myself and it’s been a great workout and motivation for my son!

The patience and care Master Roderick and all his instructors have for their students is amazing. Our girls are 6 and 8 yrs old and attend the Oakleaf location. A year ago, our oldest found her passion for karate while her sister was content with simply cheering from the side. On the 1 year training anniversary for our oldest daughter, her little sister decided to finally join and put her full effort into it. This only happened due to the entire staff of instructors and Jr Instructors befriending our youngest and making her feel just at home during that year as her sister who trained there. As a 20+ year firearms and self defense instructor and training cousulor, I can tell you that what I see every day there with the Roderick's Family Martial Arts program is truly special. My family highly recommends this school.

Mr. Southerland and the rest of the staff and instructors at the Oakleaf location are amazing! They have helped my daughter gain confidence and have inspired her to keep stepping out of her comfort zone to grow and learn new skills. I'm so thankful we took a chance to try it out!

Such a great family oriented school! Everyone is so supportive and driven to be the best they can be as a whole. Seeing how the students who were once shy and quiet grow their confidence and love for karate is impressive! They push to be better in the school and even outside in the real world. From having fun to having true discipline this school is amazing!!

This karate program has been amazing for my children. My son has been coming here for almost three years and my daughter started a few months ago. Their current instructor Mr. Southderland is awesome, he is patient, but firm with the kids and his studio is very family oriented.

We took advantage of the free training class to see if our daughter would like it and she did. It has been great to watch her confidence grow. The staff and students have been great in helping all around. 5 months later she enters her first competition and takes 2’nd place.

My son who struggles with ADHD started class at the Oakleaf location back in September and I have truly seen positive changes in him. His grades are starting to improve, he is making efforts to answer respectfully when asked to do something, and I can see him making a conscious effort to focus and maintain self control. Mr. Southerland is great at speaking to the kids in a way that they understand and he gives all the kids attention. You can tell he wants them to all be successful. I also love the student leaders that help during class. They are great with the students and encourage them. Mrs. Isabelle always has a welcoming smile and has been a tremendous help whenever I have had a question. Overall our experience has been amazing at Roderick’s Family Martial Arts-Oakleaf.
