Low quality at a high price. That's all you'll get by joining this "fitness center". The weights are older than time itself and the machines are atrocious. Treadmills are often broken and run down with parts falling off of them. The ellipticals have literally had their side panels snap off during use. Super dangerous!
The food is gross and their new plug for protein shakes is a joke. High sugar low protein and a high cost. Anything attempting to be healthy comes out so sad and of the lowest quality. Such as the salmon dish that looks like it's been frozen since the 90s.
The courts for racquetball are terrible and falling apart. Some have massive holes in the walls. The locker room is falling apart and has roaches. In fact, most of the facility has roaches. The sauna is often broken or turned all the way down. The steam room doesn't work properly and is often broken.
The pool and both Jacuzzis typically have too much chlorine. They are often filthy from all the children. The Friday night frozen over priced BBQs don't help with the mess and crowded environment.

The facility claims it's making changes and trying to improve. Unfortunately most things are dirty and falling apart and stay that way for weeks to months. Like the stairs. They keep upping their prices and added a yearly fee. Not to mention they often over charge your account and you need to take it to them personally. Front desk staff dont ever know and the membership office workers aren't their for hours at a time.
This place is a joke and should be torn down to be rebuilt into something realistic. Don't get stuck here and don't waste your money.

I have been a member and tennis player and swimmer for years. I wholeheartedly disagree with the litany of complaints that one of the reviewers had. The facility is always welcoming with lovely staff, things are organized, clean, and if they are not they are addressed immediately, and that includes the pool and the Jacuzzis.the club brightens my day every day and I am so grateful for all the care that is being taken: refurbished tennis courts, scheduling of swimming, which is not perfect but at least innovative. A little work can be done on the quality of restaurant food. The barbecues are fun and social for those who want it. I have nothing but good things to say about TRC. Barb Patterson

I’ve always loved the Racquet Club. We’ve been members for 25 years. When we decided to throw an epic birthday party for my husband, I called Ravella at the TCC to inquire about catering. She told me they don’t deliver but we can pick up. Ravella worked on the menu with me. She was very professional, knowledgeable and all around a delight to work with. The event went off without a hitch. Everyone loved the food and wanted to know where we got it. The party was a success. Ravella made everything so easy for us. Thanks so much Ravella. You’re the best. I would beyond a doubt, have the TCC cater other events. You can’t go wrong.

I’ve been a member here for many years. And overall I enjoy the club but I have to review the restaurant. To put it simple it’s horrible. Since the ownership turnover the food and drinks have gone from great to horrible. We invited guests last night and we were embarrassed by the food quality. I spoke to the food and beverage manager about my drink, which was horrible, and she gave me a dirty look and blew me off. I spoke to one of the waiters and they replaced my drink. Prices have gone sky high and quality has hit the gutter.
Something needs to change with the food and drink quality.
Find another place to eat and drink.

What is happening to this club since new management? That smoothie company has talked management into posting their product everywhere. Why not put pics. of camp, members, staff on TV in restaurant instead of smoothies. Direction signage? The club is small enough for people to figure out where things are. The vending machine blocks the flow of members leaving. Karaoke at the Front Desk? Really? Let's have a contest for members to guess the number of signage throughout the club. Now two large signs in Salon blocking view as you get your hair done. Ever heard of less is better? BBQ location silly in the Tucson heat. Do you follow state food handlers policies? Do those who touch food have a food handlers card? Anything with mayo MUST be thrown out after one hour of being outside according to state food laws Marians pics replaced with large tall plastic signage? Why not replace those with 11 x 17 card stock posters and install the large bulletin board to put them on. Less clutter. Marian is the icon of the club, shame on you grandson. The first impression of any business is a must. Parking lot needs attention. Does management tour other facilities to compare competition? Get rid of clutter signage. I also belong to Vasa Fitness always packed, clean, professional and a friendly staff that greets you coming and going. The bating cages sit quietly in the dirt I submitted an plan to better run the BBQ to the Food and Beverage Manager, was informed could not do it due to handicap issue? This club is grandfathered and has no handicap policy. So your idea is to let the handicap walk and wheel through swimmers, unlevel grass, and dirt in the heat to get a hotdog? Grandson one of your relatives is in a wheelchair. Would you expose her to such conditions? I know after this review as with others, the response will be cute, thankful and not taken seriously This club will continue to lose members. My suggestion, get rid of the unnecessary signs. Put Marian's pics back up, train staff to acknowledge coming and going. Take reviews to heart, that is what reviews are for, to get your attention. I know management and owners egos do not like to hear other opinions as they always think they know best but put your egos to rest and do something to make your customers happy, they are the ones putting money in your pockets. Members know the $60.00 annual fee can be waived due to not being in your membership contract. Utilities is an expense along with repairs is part of owning a business. Your future upgrades, are they being done by your employed paying staff? Why charge members $60 yearly fee for repairs, utilities, upgrades? It's part of running a business. Also the $1 fee each time you use your debit card? BBQ nights if I get a hotdog with debit $1, then go to ice cream window use debit $1, then upstairs for a drink debit $1 and upstairs again for a drink debit $1, that's $4 in fees my debit card was charged. Rethink things prior to implementing.
Pease put our club back and honor your grandparents hard work and effort that made this club nice for it's members. Thank you for listening.

Don't go to this place, there's mold in their ice machines, dead rats in the lot, mushrooms growing in the gym and handball courts, and the management is god awful. Especially the general manager, Sandy.

Two other notable managers that are awful are Damien and Rovella. They will trespass you from the property if you bring up their shortcomings as managers or the state of the club (falling apart)

If your kids attend camp here, they will be met with racial insults from the other campers and staff does nothing about this, aside from recommending the kids don't do it.

Bonus if you read this far: they are charging members accounts to revamp and renovate without asking or giving refunds. The only thing this place cares about is money.

There have been several unapproved price increases over the last few months since new ownership has come in. My membership price reached the point of being over $100 monthly, and then they added on $70 'enhancement fees' last month which drove my decision to cancel as I have not seen any improvements since being a member.

Most of the time when visiting the facility some portion is out of order and not usable for guests. It's not worth the price. At a certain point they should grandfather long-standing members in at their current rate and stop the increases.

This place is poorly managed. Hot tubs are disgustingly dirty at least a few times a month. Old outdated equipment and when they do get new stuff it's the cheapest on the market. Hasn't changed sense the 90s but that's not a good thing......only reason I go is 24hours with dry sauna and steam room but even then it really isn't worth it. Update Oct 2024 steam room down for a week plus and they are doing a gym remodel which means the gym areas been closed for 3 weeks think they offer members a discount on membership......won't be renewing my membership after the year is up
