I’ve been training at this gym for over 2 years now and having trained at lots of other gyms previously. I can honestly say there is something magical about this gym, the staff and the community. It really doesn’t matter if you are a complete beginner or a veteran, everyone is so welcoming and super helpful for you to learn and progress. There’s a vast number of kids and adult classes for you to choose from in Boxing, Muay Thai and Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and plenty of top class coaches and PTs who are more than willing to take time out to assist you if you need help or have any questions. We are a family of 7 and every single member trains here and the community is like a second family to all of us both in the gym and outside the gym.

If you have always wanted to learn some sort of combat sports or you have just moved to the area and you are looking for a place to train. I really cannot recommend Fight City Gym enough.

I've had the pleasure of training at FCG for around a year now and it's been one of the best experiences I have had. Great coaches, great vibes in classes and awesome community. Highly recommend to anyone wanting to try something new, improve your fitness or learn martial arts whether entry level or expert. Also, really well equipped gym for strength training! Highly recommend!

Amazing atmosphere and very welcoming team. Everyone always has a smile on their faces, specially Lucy and Ivan. The gym floor has everything you might need to keep fit and the functional training classes are beginner friendly. 10/10 recommend for the goal driven individual or one looking to be?

While on holiday I was looking for a gym to train. I found fight city and coach Jay for a morning jiujitsu class. What a great and welcoming experience! The instructor Jay is professional and has great command of his class. He went above and beyond recording people while rolling to discuss the good, the bad, and the ugly. Thanks for the great training!

Excellent gym and staff are very polite. My kids train there (BJJ) and must say the instructors are really good with the kids, one of mine has autism and the other ADHD and they really enjoy it.

We visited from the US for 2 months and enrolled our 13 year old son in Muay Thai and BJJ. He has been doing BJJ and karate martial arts in the US for almost 5 years. We were all impressed with the instructors and the class structures. I appreciate the full hour that was given for each class. I also noted that my son came home sweaty everyday due to the workout before and after the classes. This does not happen at either of the dojos he's enrolled in the US that's because they're exercising and not just practicing moves. Now when we get to the US he wants to join Muay Thai on top of karate and BJJ. Again I really appreciate you instructors and how they work with the kids.

Having trained BJJ here at FCG for a few months, I'm really enjoying all of the classes. The instructors are great. I do the evening gi/no gi sessions with Alain, Sarah and Ivan who are all highly knowledgable and helpful.

It's a very professional and clean mat space, and there's lots of friendly training partners/people to progress alongside which I believe is important.

I had tried BJJ at another club in the area before starting here and the difference is honestly night and day with the experience you offer... Keep doing what you're doing! Recommend to anyone wanting to learn Jiu Jitsu, do lots of sparring, prepare for competion etc.

I joined the gym in November 2023 having previous experience with other martial art gyms. Classes I take are BJJ, Muay Thai, MMA and Strength.

I consider what you can achieve here to be excellent value for money. The coaching team is exceptional, charismatic, and very focussed on technical precision. I never feel like myself or other female trainees are overlooked in classes and always feel like I can train safely in the hands of these professionals.

Since joining, Alain Pozo, Sarah Merriner and Ivan Skoko continue to elevate my BJJ to a competitive level and are invested helping me progress. I had never taken strength classes before but coach, Kevin Li, was not judgemental or critical of my inexperience and helped me learn the fundamentals quickly. Kevin also trains in martial arts so he tailors his classes to learn the specific functional strength you need for fighting. Deena Jason, Leon Jason and Callum Hanman also stand out in their respective Muay Thai and MMA Classes as being light-hearted but highly effective coaches.

Regardless of the discipline you take up, I am confident with the right attitude you will see results and have a positive experience at this gym.
