Fun challenging course with a fair amount of trouble to get into. Many scenic holes around the bay and some fun and challenging shots. Would definitely recommend and will be back when in the area.

Beautiful location, design is fun, maintenance can be better. I really enjoyed playing this course and if go back to that area I’ll play it again

Views are great and course layout was nice. The greens and tee boxes could use some maintenance. It rained quite a bit the morning we were playing (11:30 tee time) and the driving range was closed. I’m not sure why because they had mats we could hit off of at the range. I’d only play here again if I was unable to find a decent tee time at a neighboring course.

Only reason this place does not get a 5 stars is that the wind is an absolute beast out here that the tee boxes could def use some work.
Other than that this place is great - better bring your A game.

UPDATE APRIL 2021: Links Sandestin has done a fabulous job of maintaining and improving the course. From teebox to green, this was a great improvement to previous visits. Great Value.

I would give the course 5 out of 5 stars. Fantastic vistas of the surrounding bay make this course a definite must play. Conditions on course were wet, but it drains well and carts were in the fairways. Greens rolled perfectly true and fast. Staff was super friendly and helpful. Priced competitively for the region and resort location.

I wasn't nearly as impressed with the clubhouse. No sit down, post match dining option, except for across the street in the conference center. Nice, however just inconvenient. Plus, we had the 1st tee time today @ 7:30am. I arrived at 6:45 am and the cart attendant explained that the pro shop didn't open up until about 7:10 am. The range wasn't open yet, until they finished mowing and blowing. All I could do up until about 10 mins prior was putt.

So, lesson learned: don't be the first tee time and everything will run smoothly.

The best course I’ve played in the area so far. ( based of limited rounds ). Without a doubt my favorite. Everything was in really good condition. Greens were a little fuzzy and slow but in good shape. My favorite so far for sneaking off while visiting my family! ? ⛳️

The layout of the course is very nice with several holes along the water. Extremely picturesque and nice to play and challenging. If it windy it gets wild but fun. You have to think your way around the course and that adds to the fun. If you forgot your driver, you're probably better off, as there are plenty of holes with runouts and water/marsh that make driver a bad play. That's not bad it's just the way its laid out and makes you think. Course condition was average when we were there, though the greens complexes had been updated and were nice.
Pro shop is like a local muni. There are no bathrooms on ground level, leading to delays at the turn. The biggest short coming is the practice area. The range is irons only, and grass in the hitting area is theoretical not actual. You're hitting off sandy dirt. I dont like mats, but that would be preferable to sandy dirt. They have nets along the left side of #2 but dont have nets at end of range so you can hits woods. The putting chipping green is dramatically slower than the course and no sand traps to hit out of. We were there for an event and Sandestin is a wonderful resort, but I wouldn't rush to play The Links.
