We played the Par 3 Chica course. Nice course but the tee boxes are not the best. Chunks and unlevel tees at every tee box. Hole 4 was the most terrible one of them all. The fairway was narrow with a ditch to the right filled with mud on and the green was all sand so if you don't aim well and don't land on the green, it's straight in the mud your ball goes or it's in the trees on the left.

Tee markers were nice but hard to see and some markers had no yardage. We can see that people aren't respectful with the greens and don't fix their divots. I spent some time fixing some just because I respect the sport and love to help our fellow golf courses. I love that the course is challenging and you get a great cardio workout though. The greens were beautiful. They had great ball washers. Great for beginners with low yardages for some holes. What was upsetting was being that this course is in Valencia, you'd think the patrons would respect the course a bit more. The staff was absolutely wonderful, too. Good people.

My only gripe is the disrespect of the patrons which I know that's something the course can't control. Just be forewarned. It would be so nice if the patrons respected the pace of play and fixed their divots. We were stuck behind a group of three who were stuck behind a group of four. They literally took twenty minutes for each hole. Generally when this happens at other courses, we let others get in front of us so they're not waiting forever. These folks just didn't give a hoot. When we looked behind us, we saw that these two groups in front of us were holding up over 15 people behind us. Nothing stinks more than having to tee off with a huge audience. Talk about rushing your shot.

Like I said, all the tee boxes were littered with chunks and broken tees which makes unlevel tee boxes. They were either muddy or unlevel. Maybe if we played on a super hot day, maybe we wouldn't encounter all the muddy tee boxes and the muddy patches on a couple of the fairways but maybe not, they have to water the greens. Maybe it's the irrigation system. It hasn't rained in months so it was just a surprise to encounter. It's just as bad as a municipal course we've played at in Van Nuys. That's why we've only been to Vany Nuys twice this year. If you don't like freeway noise, get used to it because you'll have to yell at your buddies when you're in play at this course.

All in all, we had an okay experience and we plan on being back just because the staff is wonderful and the course is challenging.

Executive par 61 course, Below average conditions for many years now. The management has increased rates for everything here, from range buckets to 18 hole. Used to play chica for free with membership, but now you need to pay 3$. Ridiculous and outrageous.
Definitely will not be getting the bang for your buck here but if you live in scv, there's really no other option unless you can afford one of the privates or drive all the way to sand canyon.
Vista def takes advantage of this, which is annoying. I guess they value the profit over people satisfaction?‍♂️
Course itself is currently not good. Greens are probably rolling a solid 4 on the stint, and the Fairways couldn't be worse. Geese poop everywhere, too.
Management needs to step up and maintain the course well.

Great place to play golf. You can also take lessons.The fairways are in good shape. Greens are in fantastic shape. Some sand traps have been replaced with new sand. I don't think it is natural sand. Clubhouse is finished and kitchen is still under construction. Exciting changes are now developing. Great staffing and management team.
P.s.Try the par 3, 9 holes course "Chica", which is right next to Vista Valencia GC.

I’ve passed by this course off the 5 100,000 times and this was the first opportunity to play. Well worth it. First of all, every business, every restaurant, every fast food place has. Rapt service. Everyone is busy and there’s a wait for everything. From the starter to the pro shop to the cart guy, everyone was very friendly and I have to recognize.

One challenging executive 18 and a par 3. I played the executive and it was phenomenal. Long 4’s and challenging 3’s including water. Well worth it.

I am an occasional golfer, like twice per year. Vista is the perfect low pressure course and the fees are low. Few golfers here play intensely. It's a par 64 course with a few par 4 holes, 3 of them about 400 yards long. The rest of the holes are fairly short. This course gets a lot of traffic. So the fairways are pretty worn and the greens have a lot of patches, but play well. The sand traps are hard packed, more like cement traps. That being said, the course is fun. There are lots of holes with dramatic elevation changes and a beautiful par 3 with the green on an island. Most important, the people working there are very nice and accommodating. Great course to get together with a buddy you haven't seen in a while and hangout. Golf enthusiasts will expect more.
