I recently visited FitClub on 6th Street in Springfield, Illinois, and had an excellent experience. The customer service was outstanding, with staff going above and beyond to ensure a pleasant visit. The atmosphere was fantastic, creating a welcoming and enjoyable environment. Additionally, the place was very clean, which added to the overall positive experience. If you want to sign up, just head inside and sign up—the membership person is very nice and very helpful when it comes to goals. I highly recommend this spot to anyone looking for a great time!

This gym is a decent facility. It has a huge variety of equipment. Sauna, pool and classes are all included in your membership. The staff is always friendly and informative. I love that they are open 24 hours. There’s a big track for running upstairs. There’s something for everyone.

Now for the cons: This gym could use some deep cleaning and improvements since we pay a yearly maintenance fee. They did upgrade the lobby area but it doesn’t benefit your experience. The walls need painted and It’s a bit outdated and very disorganized. Most members aren’t courteous and don’t re racks their weights or clean up after themselves. Equipment is constantly broken and waiting to be repaired.

The pool is never open when it's convenient for us older folks that get up early in the morning. West is open 24/7, but I live closer to South 6th Street. I don't want to drive all the way across town just to use the pool when it's convenient for me. Why isn't South 6th Street pool open 24/7?

Poor customer service with individual at the South 6th street location. I called to cancel membership mid February, I was told it would be done after I paid my last payment. This was more than the 30 day notice they require to cancel. My last payment was taken and when I logged into the site ABC fitness, which is who they partner with to look at account, it said membership expired..account closed. March 23 2024 they took a payment. When I called to ask why after explaining to them what I was told and what I saw, the person I spoke to said he had no idea what I was talking about. He was rude, he was not helpful and he told me there was nothing I could do basically to get my money back they took. I provided more than a 30 day notice and they took money which they should not have. And the person I spoke to did not care to understand or explain to me why.

So much potential but there is never anyone working there. Getting a hold of someone for help is impossible and beyond frustrating. I love my trainer, love Wes, and anyone that you actually talk to but this place is not managed well. I assume they aren’t paying anyone to manage it Even if you do find someone at the front desk, they can’t help you. If you have patience, you will be fine because the facility is great!

I've been a member more then a few times. My main interest is the pool but it's never available when I am (bad luck) thought I would give it another try? Looked on line and everything is listed except schedule. I called and was told it would let me see the schedule after I become a member. Not very convenient. Now I have to find time to to go in and get a print out of schedule it see if it fits mine to see if I could join. Wouldn't be as annoying if not for the fact that that's the Only thing not on line.
